My husband has had back surgery and slow, degenerative lumbar back issues. He walks multiple time a day to help relieve pain. This seems to help as well. Nothing will be a cure, but it does seem to give some additional support. The hook & eye closure could be redesigned as they are a pain in the neck. He's a 36 waist, I bought an XL, he hooks the largest size hook/eye before pulling it on over his head. This is the only way to get it on without my help.
