I find two major flaws in the design of these cases. First, the web of plastic coating material is not sufficiently open. Sitting on that pillow is no different than sitting in my car seat. I get sweaty and wet within minutes. I can't use them in my car for their intended purpose - long drives. However, if I wrap it in a bath towel, I can use it on my office chair longer than I can sit on a real faux leather chair cover. Second, the pillow's internal springs are too few and too stiff. Spring marks will appear on your ass in just a few minutes. These pillows are nothing like the old school pillows of the late '60s and early '70s, which had softer inner springs and were covered in a more durable material with an open fabric that really breathed. If you need them for a long trip I don't recommend them. But if you just need it for a quick pad between your butt and a car seat that's been sitting in a hot, sunny parking lot all day, this might work.
