The vest is well made, the zippers are easy to open/close. The vest itself has compacted insulation so you stay warm even without heating elements. The collar closes at the neck, which also helps. The outer material also helps to protect the body from the wind. As this is a soft insulation it will take some time before you feel the effects of the heating elements as the insulation needs to be heated first before you can get the full effect. The nape of the neck was the most noticeable area for me, followed by the bottom of the front, the top of the front, and then the back. The heating elements won't get too hot for you because they aren't that powerful. However, if you're not wearing it and put it on somewhere that's cold and you're already cold, you'll probably need at least 30 minutes to feel the effects on a high setting. When you're high I think it's good to put on before going out and it keeps you warm. It would be nice if low or medium settings did this, and high settings could actually put out enough heat to warm you up quickly. I only tested it while lying on my bed, I used it at high power with my 5000mah for about 2 hours. power bank and it still worked. I did notice that the PSU itself gets quite warm, but that shouldn't be a problem when you're outside in the cold. For the price, however, I wish they included a power bank like cheaper alternatives do. At least it is what one would expect.
