Review on 🌈 Spdoo Hair Coloring Wax: 6 Colors Unisex Temporary Modeling Hair Wax for Daily & Party Use by Ashley Turner

I have to admit I love these. I've been using mine for a few weeks now and I'm finding it hard to resist adding a new color to my hair every day. I have very dark hair that usually needs to be bleached for coloring and my hair is not currently bleached. These colors come into their own. They are bright but not electric (except sunlight). The website says they're not abused either, so hooray, guilt-free fun colors! I'll admit it took me a few tries to get this to work, especially with my daughter's long hair. I tended to read the directions and then lather and brush, but that didn't work at all. So I want to guess because I see there are some negative reviews where people are having the same issues I had initially but I was able to find ways to get it to work without being thick, sticky, waxy or hardened to be. Firstly, although the instructions say to apply to wet hair, I've had much better luck using it on dry hair. Second, the directions say to start at the roots and work towards the ends. I do this with my short hair, but with long hair I've found that applying it to the ends and slowly moving it up works best. I work small strands at a time and pin the rest of the hair with a clip so it doesn't get in the way. pick it up and use it. YOU REALLY WANT TO USE THIS SMALL (or a quarter size at best, but a skinny quarter size, not a fat one). It may seem, especially if you have dark hair, that the color is anything but bright when you apply such a small amount, but the best way to get a beautiful, rich color is not to apply, but to layer to create. Apply a little, then a little more, then a little more, etc. Yes, it takes longer, but you actually end up with soft colored hair instead of waxy, hardened hair. . I use my daughter's comb (http://a.co/4qBZvQz) and it works great! My hair isn't as soft as usual, but it looks like it has a bit of hairspray on it, no gel or wax. I hope it helps you to use this product. Now there are a few downsides. First of all, this thing smells like men's perfume. The smell is not unpleasant, but not subtle. As I bought this hair wax for myself and my daughter the scent overshadows the more subtle scents we wear. I would like the scent to be less overpowering and less masculine. The second issue is that the "red" color is actually more like magenta. It doesn't matter much to us. My daughter loves the color "pink" although I was hoping for the fiery red that appears in the pictures. This is something you should know before purchasing the package simply because it doesn't match the picture. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I have a great time with these flowers and will definitely buy them again. What a cool product!
