Good presentation. Bad smell

From time to time I'm looking for a new cleaner to see what's new on the market and stumbled upon this one. The reviews on the message boards were pretty positive, so I decided to give it a try. Holding the dime-sized syringe in my hand, I noticed that it looked like very runny honey. I rubbed it in my hands to create lather, but there was none. I dabbled with a few facial cleansers that later didn't help, so I didn't think much about it. As soon as my hands were close to my face, I smelled the cleanser for the first time. It has a sweet, almost chemical smell. I kept rubbing the cleanser on my face, but it still wasn't a lather. It felt like rubbing oil on my face. I followed the simple instructions and was satisfied that the oils were gone from my face. I then poured some more into my hand and started rubbing, wondering if I could make lather. I have absolutely nothing. The gel only turned a shade of white, but did not bubble, foam or foam. I tried the cleanser for about 3 more days before I stopped using it. I stopped using the product for 2 reasons. First, my skin didn't feel completely clear. The cleanliness was more like splashing the rubbish on my face, rubbing it a bit and then wiping it off with a towel. Second, it's the smell. I understand that there are no fragrances, but the smell is still very pronounced and not very pleasant. After 3 days of use I gave up. I have used other cruelty free and vegan products that smell better. Although I have to say I really liked the presentation of the linen! The black box gives an idea of luxury and high level.
