Appears to be of good quality. Very comfortable material looks and feels like silk. It is made on the principle of a pillowcase, meaning it is sewn from one piece of fabric, folded to the side and sewn on one end and down the long side, then turned inside out and sewn on the remaining turned-in edges. results in no open cut edges and two-layer product thickness. Fourteen hand-tied tassels at each end. The quality of work would be comparable to some very good products at a much higher price. Cons: I was disappointed to find the item I received was soiled, but a quick hand wash removed the dirt. It was also carelessly packaged in a mailing envelope such that the edge of the scarf caught in the adhesive of the envelope's clasp, allowing me to easily cut it in half with scissors when I opened it. Finally, it's listed as 68 inches, but it actually measures 60 including the tassels.
