Cold drinks - no watery porridge! Frozen food delivered to your home!

We travel a lot and like to take drinks and soda with us. We used to just fill an ice box with "blue ice" and soda. Blue ice refers to those reusable blue "ice" packs that keep you cool without leaving puddles of water everywhere. In any case, this idea works for road trips under 4 hours. A little more and you'll be lucky enough to get a cool lemonade. If you don't want to bag every piece of blue ice cream you've got, we've tried and it's a pain royalty. Enter the size of the Wagan 12V Cooler / Warmer-24L. We have a 2017 Toyota Rav4 and it fits perfectly behind the seats and center console. There's more than enough cable to run from the back of the RAV to the front if that's what you want. We want to be able to access it on the go, so it's behind the center console. It would be a bit of a problem for the driver to hit it at that angle, but I usually ride a shotgun so that's not a problem. It's okay to reach him from the passenger seat. The cable runs between the console and the passenger seat through a paper towel tube to protect the cable when I move the seat forward or backward. The 12V plug is conveniently located on a small tray just in front of the outlet. We spent over 10 hours on the road, maybe even more, and we love it! Even if you run out of soda or a bottle of water, it'll be nice and cold. The upper ones are just as cold as the lower ones. All you have to do is start the car, turn it on, flip the switch to the cool position and the green light will come on. You will also hear some fan noise. And I mean minor. Even in a quiet car, the thing only hums soothingly. No whining, buzzing, unpleasant noises. Obviously loading him up with cold items gives him the benefit of staying cold, but it makes sense. We load everything straight from the fridge into the cool box. No blue ice thank you The instructions state that when the machine is turned off, the power should be turned off for two reasons. #1 It can eat your battery and leave you stuck with a dead battery. Spirit. #2: Leaving it on and plugged in when you start your car can cause a power surge in the device, which can cause damage. Again, hmm. We have no problem with simply unplugging the device when we stop and then plugging it back in when we start RAV. We don't turn it off, we just leave it on cool. We've used this for many hours and haven't had any problems. It's even great for grocery shopping. The nearest grocery store is over 15 miles away, so sometimes we hesitate to buy ice cream or something frozen. Unless it was the last stop and we were going straight home, no ice cream. No longer! For the spontaneous ice cream attacks, all we have to do is plug in our device and keep the ice cream perfectly frozen for the trip home. Even if we have to make more stopovers before heading home. The best report I can give so far is that the spring rolls have been frozen from Oceanside, California to the Oregon border. Apparently there were a few stops and there were drinks on top, but STILL! This is a journey of over 12 hours. Overall I have to give this place 5 stars. I can't find anything wrong with this block. Why didn't I buy it sooner!
