OK. This is a good idea to get rid of weeds without toxins. It kills weeds but the dead weeds on the gravel road have yet to be removed. Best used when weeds are young and not yet established. Two problems: First, it works best in sunny, dry weather. I live in an area with frequent and irregular spring rains. There are surprisingly long stretches where it doesn't really dry out. Later in the summer, yes, but by then the weeds are big and tough and a lot harder to kill. Second the biggest headache and annoyance, like those little words in the instruction manual that if the vapor pressure falls out of the red zone, you have to wait for it to mature again. The manual says it "should" return to red after 40 seconds. It's hardly like that though, which means you can kill a weed or two before you have to wait again. It is better to wait 3-5 minutes and build full pressure, then you can work for several minutes in a row. Each wait isn't very long, but the effect is that you're constantly standing and waiting for that damn thing to build pressure. If you could just work through it, this thing would be pretty effective. But you can't. You (i.e. *me*) get bored and annoyed by standing around doing nothing. In general, it is best suited for small tasks. Terraces, small gardens, walks. For my large gravel driveway this is a good idea, but too small and cheap to really get the job done. Shame as I live near a lake and hate toxic weed killers. They're also illegal, but that doesn't stop anyone.
