I originally bought this in August 2020 and it worked perfectly. the motion sensor was great, the light control was good, etc. after a few months of use, it spontaneously went out. I contacted the company which to their credit was great. They replaced the unit immediately and I was back up and running a few days after the first one failed. However, the second pair was not properly connected and nearly caught fire. The device turned itself off but the plastic near the motion sensor melted and now my bedroom smells like burnt plastic. I'm kind of grateful that it happened while I was there and awake, but it was still very disturbing even though it happened when I could handle it. The idea behind this product is phenomenal and for a low price, it can penetrate your space. quite easy. But beware, the price starts to show with the quality of the product.
