Good idea but my cats don't like it

I'm trying to get my 5 and 11 year old cats to eat more combination natural and/or raw foods. After reading many reviews I decided to try it first to make it easier. Both of my cats love beef flavored cat food and love real salmon, so I figured this combination of beef and salmon flavors would give me the best chance of success. more expensive than regular supermarket cat food) and fairly easy to prepare as you only need to add a little water. I followed the directions for adding water - it only said to add a teaspoon per serving, but I felt like there wasn't enough water. That amount of water didn't do anything and I couldn't mix the food enough. I added a little more, but not much, and left it for my cats. Well, they both went to their bowls to sniff, but that was about it. They just wouldn't even try. I even left it there for a while, assuming they would try but wouldn't leave if they were hungry. None of my cats wanted anything to do with this food so I give it 3 stars. I had a feeling that my youngest cat, 5 years old, wouldn't eat it as she doesn't like anything. She doesn't even touch raw meat, not even cooked meat or chicken. However, she will eat canned tuna and salmon. My oldest 11 year old cat is very picky about cat food. He likes beef, tuna, salmon, and sometimes turkey, but is very picky about brands. He can eat one brand of tuna, but not any other. However, he LOVES raw and cooked meat. I gave him a piece of raw hamburger which he ate. I gave him boiled chicken and boiled turkey and he gulped them down. He just won't touch that freeze-dried food.

Pros
