There are expensive and affordable mouse pads like this product out there and frankly not unless the mouse pad has built in RGB backlighting or electronics. , they all look the same unless you want a mouse pad built for speed. I like this mouse pad because it gives me more control over my movements. It's neither too slippery nor too rough, just enough for good mouse control. I washed it once when I spilled juice on it. It washed easily and I used a hair dryer to dry it. Still works fine. I chose this cartoon theme to create a sense of balance in my gaming setup. After using this mouse pad for several months, I couldn't justify buying expensive gaming mouse pads. I won't hesitate to buy another one if I ever need one, or maybe try a different design.
