Excellent HD camcorder

I bought this Sony HDX150 Handicam camcorder to document a two week trip to Alaska. After a quick rehearsal of the trio's jam session at my home, which was posted on Youtube, I was ready to go. The camcorder worked flawlessly as it was so compact and lightweight that it was the perfect choice for documenting an amazing trip to Alaska. Admittedly the photos aren't quite as good as those from the two Canon SD1000 cameras we also brought with us, but they're still good and the convenience of hitting the photo button to add video is great. The 16 GB built-in flash memory was also a decisive factor in purchasing this camcorder. With the added 8GB card, we were able to record over 7 hours of video and photos. When we got home and I connected the HDX150 to our Sony Bravia HDTV with an HDMI cable, I was very pleased with the detail and clarity of the movies. The colors and focus were also exceptional. The advantage and one of the factors I considered when buying this camcorder is that the camcorder connects to the TV via an HDMI connection and both can be controlled with the TV remote control. Low light videos became very natural and impressive. We are very happy with this Sony HRX HD Handycam. And of course the price was right with shipping too: $485.
