As a beginner to sewing, I was afraid to buy one of the "fake" walking legs that are sold at a lower price because I couldn't tell if I could do the job right or if I screwed up! I also chose a brand name because I'm more confident that it's a good product and that I'll get good customer service if something goes wrong. still like it. It took me about three times to remove and install before I got used to the process, but now I can replace it with my regular foot in less than two minutes. The instructions are pretty decent with nice drawings but there is at least one video on You-Tube where you can follow the process and it really helped me figure out how to install it. I wouldn't miss it when working with thick fabrics or layers; does its job well!
