made in China and written instructions very brief; and written in extremely small type in many languages. There are glaring grammatical errors in the instructions from someone trying to use English as a second [or third] language. I have exchanged emails with the support team and they are having a hard time saying anything clearly. they cannot help. but I'm sure they would if they could. Oh, and the Expert Help button on the order page? they are only marginally better. I am currently working with channel 21 using radio. I'm recording other conversations on the walkie-talkie, including Morris Code. If you are familiar with this type of walkie talkie it could be a good product but I have nothing to compare it to. Big learning curve for a beginner. UPDATE: Well I'm figuring out how to use these radios and I've upped my star rating from one star to four stars. The radio works well but probably not as well as advertised. Written instructions and customer service still suck.
