less than 100 Mbps: cables and connections

Pro: An affordable cable for basic Ethernet needs at home or in the office. Devices that run over 1 cable Cons: 1. Less than a low quality cable, even with a 3ft cable connected directly to my Google (Gigabit) fiber optic port I got just under 100mbps uploading and downloading/ s, which means the download speed is around 10 MB per second. decent for pictures and streaming but lacks shine2 when downloading games or movies. Fragile as I cut my own cable, I kept cutting through the internal cable and tried to hammer the outer plastic, I had to be a lot more careful than usual. when making your own cable (also cut me on the internal plastic, overall it's just not worth the money if the LAN connection to your modem can't even go over 100Mbps. I would suggest going for better quality cable spools to pay extra).

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • No auto-configuration
