My daughter doesn't like sandwiches that much and prefers warm food for lunch. We've used Thermos branded products in lunch boxes in the past, but children often report that the food is cold when they come in for lunch. I did a bit of searching and this thermos and brand turned out to be suitable for keeping food warm. I did several of my own tests - poured boiling water into two thermoses and left for a day - double checked. After 5 hours the boiling water in this thermos was still very hot. I then made a pasta dinner for my daughter. For some reason she didn't eat it and the thermos came back full but when I opened it after over 7 hours it was still warm. I did a few tests and compared to many Thermos brand thermoses they keep food warm much longer.
