Installed immediately upon receipt. Phone stand and Air Pod worked. I put the clock on its stand and as usual the clock chimed revealing the face of the bedside table. So far, so good. There, the screen went off again as usual, but then lit up again as if it had been taken off the charge, then immediately rang and switched back to night mode. He repeated this process continuously at intervals of about 10 seconds. Not conducive to those trying to sleep. I've made sure it's as cozy as possible and central in the dressing room. Did not help. I removed it from the power strip and plugged it directly into 2 different outlets. I could try replacing it in case only this unit is defective, but somehow I suspect this is a design flaw. UPDATE: I exchanged the same product and encountered the same issue. Switched to a similar one from another manufacturer, same problem. I tested my wife's Series 5 (40mm) and it worked on another manufacturer's device. I then tried this to charge a friend's Series 5 watch, which to date was also 44mm. His watch did the same as mine. I've come to the conclusion that the 44mm Series 5 has a hardware issue that prevents them from charging on 3rd party devices. I have to contact Apple about this. This is a good stand above all. I hope this works for your watch.
