I've had an amazingly powerful custom laptop for about 7 years. Aside from not being able to update the windows, it was perfect. Then there was a heating problem. I defrost a bag of frozen vegetables under my laptop every 30 minutes. STILL shuts down due to overheating after an hour or two of regular use (writing a resume, craigslist, checking email, etc.). Out of good will I decided to get a targus cooling pad ($5 instead of $40.99 in brackets), MAYBE another hour of work time, total MAXIMUM 2-3 hours. THEN I got this puppy! ALL problems completely solved. I'm working long hours, moving thousands of files, downloading and playing games regularly, and I'm still around 35-42 degrees C (no problem, it's not about F, a number is a number, find out what you want and what no), which is pretty cool for a laptop running under load. The manual override feature gives me the full control I need, exactly when I need it. the automatic function is more suitable for the woman who watches netflix or similar. And it looks SUPER cool my son says. He wants a laptop just to have his own. LAUGH OUT LOUD
