Review on πŸ“ Efficient Storage Solution: Stainless Measuring Container Organizer Condiment by Darth Naubert

Good idea. not the best design

They looked promising but the magnet that came with it isn't strong enough to stick to our fridge or cooker hood (both stainless steel). Depending on the spice (e.g. onion salt) we might only be able to fill the canister 1/4 full before it falls down. We can fill lighter spices (dried parsley) almost completely, but this leads to problems with dosing. We bought stronger magnets to attach to the back but they didn't hold up well at all in this case. Also, they're not big enough to hold an entire standard bottle of condiments. That means you're not really saving storage space by doing this, as you'll still need room to store your remaining spice bottle. The lids can be difficult to remove, to the point where I spilled most of the spice. when the lid finally opens. Instead, you have to rock it gently, which can be hard on your fingers since the lids are so thin. And since the dispensing slots (one wide for pouring, a series of smaller spray holes) are on the side of the lid, you have to be very careful when replacing it so none of the slots overlay the large slot on the lid. Base, otherwise you'll end up with a bunch of spices under the jars (or so I've heard). Pro tip if you go for these - get a super OCD if/when you label the lid and make sure the two dispenser slots are "up" so when aligning your labels you know both dispenser slots pointing up and not down. Eventually (and it's not this particular design's fault) I realized that I didn't like the loss of the expiration date. I'm a bit picky about not using expired stuff and I have no idea about this one. I suppose I could put the date on the original bottle somewhere on it, but I don't know how well it will age or how easy it will be to change it when I add new spice. Overall, I like the idea of magnetic spice jars. But I think you'd better spend some more money to get better design.

Pros
  • STRONG MAGNETIC BACK AND CLEAR LID: Strong magnetic backs allow these spice jars to be attached to any metal surface to save space. The transparent lid is very handy for finding the right spices quickly and has a rotating design with holes for straining or pouring.
Cons
  • A few little things
