I advise against buying a case with a built-in Apple Pencil compartment - it won't fit. Also, the double-tap-to-erase function is not recognized because the silicone is too thick. Personally, a simple hand wipe will suffice, but if you depend on the double-tap feature, this particular case may hamper your use. I often take my sleeve off to load my pencil, so it's a bit loose. However, it can still be used. That's not bad. Using an Apple Pencil without a silicone case is definitely worse. But there are probably better alternatives.
