I attribute my John Hancock to this model. This is beauty!

Okay, I'll start by saying that I'm not a professional graphic artist, so don't expect too much artistic bias in this review. I am an avid photographer and have worked in art my entire professional life. I love digital photography and the ability to manipulate photos after the fact. The ability to control highlights and shadows, exposure, midtones, saturation, etc., as well as the ability to control tiny areas of a photo is all I do in a digital photo lab. . To work really well with masks and feathers to control the effects it is very helpful to have a tablet and a pen. I have used a Wacom Bamboo tablet and pen for many years. They were great for getting started and for experimenting to see if a tablet would really become my tool of choice. Well I recently built a new computer and the software I use to take photos has been updated. The response of the Wacom tablet and pen was unpredictable and disappointing. Wacom ran out of new drivers for the Bamboo line of tablets that worked well with Windows 10, so I went to Revain to see what the latest line of tablets was like. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I can't make a living from it. After looking at several tablets, only a few criteria were important to me: the size of the tablet, the number of customizable buttons and their position, and a pen that does not require a battery or charging. Some tablets were wireless and I didn't have to worry about cables dangling from the keyboard. But after thinking about how I use my pen and tablet, I realized I didn't need the wireless version. I've used a Huion tablet in the past and have been relatively happy with its performance (it's still on my desktop where I use it sometimes). But this H640P looked particularly intriguing, and the price was certainly attractive. Today I connected it for the first time and I can say that Huion has made a big step forward in the design and features of its tablets. This is AWESOME for what I need to do. It's smooth and responsive. I've tweaked the buttons and tray layout a few times and I think it's about how I want it. Using the pen as a digital brush has become a real pleasure. Using Wacom on Macs at work, I can tell you that the responsiveness and usability on my PC is just as good with this new tablet. I'm so impressed with the ease of use that I'm looking for more photos to play with! The size of the tablet is great and I can easily put it on and off my lap. I keep it next to my keyboard and mouse (yes, there are some things I like that require a mouse) for easy access. The tablet is very light but robust. The pen tip glides over this surface. The pressure sensitivity of the pen is fully adjustable in the software driver and I am very happy with how this feature works. It has over 8,000 levels of pressure sensitivity that allow me to control brush size on the fly. When I want to expand my brush, I just press a little harder and watch the cursor expand and contract as I press harder or softer. And the price is $50! This is a STEAL at this price. If you're on the doorstep and have money to spend (and with Revain's return efficiency if you decide this tablet isn't for you), this is the model you SHOULD check out. I am very happy with my choice and look forward to a long relationship with my new Huion Inspiroy tablet.
