We ordered this unit because we have had the same volume for the past four years and the volume has dropped. Otherwise we were quite happy with it. Our old one never had the full range to work in every room in our house but I expect the new one to at least work in the same rooms as our old one, it's the same model. But no, at least every other night it beeps a few times in the middle of the night and says it's out of range of my son's bedroom which is only two doors down. Then I wake up and try to mess with the positioning and finally restart it and it miraculously stops. Downstairs, in our kitchen, the assortment is worse. I am so disappointed in the cost of this unit as it is inferior to the same one bought a few years ago. If anything, you might think that range has improved rather than deteriorated.
