TL,DR: The wax couldn't melt properly or blend into my mustache so it just looks like a disgusting whitish yellow scab. Not all mustache waxes can look like that, can they? whoops --- This was my first experience with mustache wax. The wax proved very, very hard in the jar so as instructed I tried to heat the wax by holding it in my hand first and when that didn't work I tried rinsing it with warm water. Neither strategy resulted in a noticeable difference in the plasticity or consistency of the wax. I then tried hitting it with a hair dryer, which turned the wax into a liquid for a few seconds, but it immediately hardened again. I couldn't tell if I did it right or if it was a problem with the product, but that was a bad sign. - Cured with a hair dryer and wash the wax jar under warm water once. Both times the result was an absolutely horrible coating of crunchy yellowish-white particles. No matter how much I heated the wax or combed out my mustache, a crust of plaque remained. Looks like I have a severe form of mustache dandruff. I was so put off by this problem that I barely noticed a moderate hold or an odor that was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. And as other reviewers have said, the jar is sealed tight and is much easier to open. Suffice it to say I sent this wax back and will try another.
