OK - maybe I expected too much, but my expectations were not met when it came to this product worked. I think the biggest disappointment is the quality of the candle base. It's cheap (and I mean cheap) quality plastic. I was hoping for something made of metal. However, I think I got what I paid for. The lights work as advertised and the remote on and off is nice. However, there were no instructions for use in the box, which was also a bit disappointing. I would recommend these candles in situations that don't guarantee a 'high quality' product that people will come into contact with (e.g. on a table or on a mantel). It's good value for money if I hang them on the window (like I do) so they can be seen from afar. The rating refers to an average product with a relatively good price-performance ratio. If you are looking for the same high quality material product then go ahead and look elsewhere. If you're looking for a product that can be used for long-distance viewing, this might be the best deal for the money.
