Let me start by saying that this is a great multi-functional night sleep alarm clock (and maybe a marriage savior!). When I got this alarm clock I was hoping it would have a dimmable display, which is advertised but dimmed enough so it's not too bright when I'm sleeping. But you can still see it during the day. Not only does it do this, but it also has multiple brightness levels for displays. It also allows you to switch from 24 hours to 12 hours. The application that you can download to use with this light is very simple and easy to use. I connected it to my Alexa and it is fully functional. There are multiple lighting levels and lighting scenarios you can use, as well as multiple alarms and tones to help you fall asleep. For example thunderstorm, coast, ocean, birds, ambient music. The application allows you to program three different scenarios and choose two different pre-programmed lighting scenarios. The third allows you to change the color and brightness to your liking. You can also label each of the three lighting modes however you like. What saved my wife (wink) was the self-programmed lighting mode. I call it "Ninja". I set it to dark red (so as not to disturb the night vision - the attached photo is programmed in "Ninja" mode - and yes, you can name it "Ninja" in the app and Alexa will respond to it). My wife goes to bed a few hours before me. I usually use the low light setting of the side lamp programmed by Alexa, but sometimes it's too bright and wakes the woman up. This clock/light/sleeping pill allows me to program a deep crimson at a very low level so I can say "Alexa, turn on the ninja" from below well before I enter the room and the room is lit so I can see know how to go to bed - all without a light to wake my wife. I also like sleeping sounds. I let the alarm clock lull me to sleep with the crackle of the fire or the sounds of the ocean. What I like about this alarm clock is that everything is programmable. You are in control of all of this. Three different alarm clocks - all fully programmable. Three different lighting modes - all programmable. Alarms are programmable and you can even set up/program routines. I love that it works in conjunction with my Alexa devices. I like that the time display is dark enough not to disturb my sleep at night but bright enough to see if I'm getting up at night. This alarm clock was a lot bigger than I had hoped. I didn't know how functional it is and how often I will use it. But I use it every day and it is exactly as described. I'm sure you will find many more uses for this alarm clock than just an alarm clock. I am very happy with this alarm clock.
