It shrinks but not as strong as other burp cloths. I swear I had them the size of kitchen towels at first and now they're like laundry. It is not so. They are absorbent enough that when my son burps, I don't feel wet on the other side. My husband puts them on the floor for our son to vomit if he vomits on his knee. Our son also started drooling. I want them to make identical bandana bibs. I personally prefer bandana style bibs because they tend to collect more drool. They form a beautiful package of several pieces.
