This board is very rustic. The living edge is rough, there are pieces of bark on it. It's neither good nor bad and I really like it, but you have to know what decor you're going to use it with. Although you shouldn't submerge it in water or wash it in the dishwasher; You must wash it thoroughly as it will lose its stain or finish with washing. I also recommend a good coat of food safe wax or oil to protect it. This is a very nice looking board, big enough to make large charcuterie and strong enough to handle the most aged cheese. If you are looking for a beautiful exotic wood (acacia) board then this is it.
