When our 'lab mix' puppy his weight went from 14lbs to 28lbs in just 2 weeks after his Adoption doubled we decided she wasn't "lab mixed" so we started feeding her this super premium nutro puppy food. The added glucosamine and chondroitin and high protein content in this food gave us peace of mind despite being larger than the lab formula. After her genetic test showed she was 50% Great Dane we were so glad we chose this food for her. She is now 7 months old, weighs 65 pounds and her head is at waist level. Their black fur is very soft and shiny. Even though she eats 6 cups a day and the food is expensive, she LOVES the taste. Mainly protein with some grain. Many of the other expensive convenience foods (Royal Canin!) contain mostly (and therefore the highest percentage) corn! Do your own research, but high levels of corn aren't good for a dog. Wolves have never hunted corn.
