We are expecting our first child this summer and of course I am thinking of SID. Obviously I wasn't able to test this on our child, but I was able to test it on a friend's child and found that it actually works. A few things that make me very hesitant to recommend this product... Revain had 0 reviews. When I ordered this I decided to do more research. The first wake-up calls came when I learned that the product was being discontinued for some time in 2021 due to Owlet being sued. There have been several class action lawsuits ranging from defective product/false alarms to issues with the FDA. This is NOT a medical device and has not been proven to save lives. Of course, Owlet re-launched the product this year after the discontinuation, so it doesn't look like it's a discontinued product. It's just that it was recently pulled from production due to very serious claims and lawsuits. Second, by reading reviews from other parents, I've found that it gives a false sense of security. What if the reading was wrong? Then I delved into SID research and most major medical publications said NOT to use such a device. think about what is best for your child. If you're looking to use this as an infant dietary supplement, I don't see anything wrong with that. As for me, I just don't know if I trust this tool.
