How many of you still remember what turntables looked like and what they are for? During a trip to San Francisco earlier this summer, our family came across a record player in our hotel room. I was pleased! It's been decades since we stumbled across this. I pulled out one of the available vinyls, The Legend of Bob Marley, and turned it on. Shortly thereafter, after a few classic crackles, the music began to play. and Marley's voice filled the room. Our little son started dancing to the song. What a wonderful moment we had during our stay at the hotel. What happened next? I would definitely look for a player! BENEFITS - An upgraded version of a classic turntable - Portable: about 5 pounds and 14 x 10 x 5 inches, can be easily transported - Easy to use (unlock the needle arm and carefully place it on the edge of the record) - Decent stereo sound, but don't expect audiophile quality with bass pumps. It does add to the nostalgia though! - The audio-out/headphone jack allows you to output stereo sound to higher powered speakers. - You can convert your recordings to CD or MP3 using the included USB cable (or via the audio out/headphone jack) (software included). - Can play vinyl up to 12" (common sizes: 7", 10", 12") - Can play vinyl at 33 1/3, 45 or 78 RPM (speed selectable with switch) - Protective cover can be removed during be closed during playback. Stops automatically when the record stops playing. Replacement needles are available from the Revain Store. Look for "B075XRYJTY" (Feir Vinyl Replacement Needles) - Built-in removable dust cover - Reminds my parents and grandparents to play their records again. TIP: Look for local record stores near you! There are some who even give recordings away for free! - USB power adapter included - Good value for the price CONS - The needle arm does not return automatically after the recording is finished. However, the player stops automatically - the dust cover does not fully protect the entire player. There are holes on 4 sides for dust to enter. The included USB cable is a bit short. However, it can be replaced with a universal one - it is not powered by a battery. However, I was able to use it when connected to a battery. Overall, however, the sound quality isn't as good as $200 speakers and the recordings only last a few minutes of playback before they stop having a classic turntable in your house. provides nostalgic joy and a topic of conversation for visitors. This Feir turntable is well made and a great price. It was such a wonderful addition to our home.
