I bought these to make and store charred stuff, other kindling and spices for my travel backpack. For those familiar with the production of charred material, they would not survive a hot coal seam. I should have guessed how thin the metal is. They practically melted. But I built a carburetor furnace out of garbage cans, which is more suitable for this. I still keep petroleum jelly coatings, cotton balls, rice, etc.
