This is a great beach blanket! I was looking for something that all of my friends could sit on when we all go for a beach day together. This seems perfect. It is quite thin and I haven't taken it anywhere rocky, so it won't provide much cushion, but it's a comfortable parachute-like material. The blue color is very attractive. I like that it comes with pouches to fill with sand or stakes to make sure the blanket doesn't fly away. I stored the stakes in the zippered pouch so I don't lose them.Dog parents, I think this would also be a great buy for your pooch! As soon as I unrolled the blanket, my dog made it her own. She romped around on it and kept coming back to bring her toy onto it, even when I was trying to roll it up to put away! She kept squeezing onto smaller and smaller pieces of blanket until I was able to distract her with her toy long enough for me to fold it all up. It is surprisingly easy to pack back into its original bag! The waterproof phone pouch it comes with is a lovely bonus -- it keeps sand and moisture away from your precious cell phone while you're enjoying yourself at the beach. Still very easy to snap photos, text, check Instagram, etc. because the screen works through the pouch!I'm happy with this purchase!
