This cover does not stay on the seat very well as the end just hangs off the seat. My boxer was always throwing it up from the bottom when getting in and out. My dog had an accident with it once and it really protected the part of the seat it was still covering. In the end, of course, it bent, so part of the seat was also hit. We tried to wash it after the accident and the cover started to deteriorate. The item says machine washable but that's not our experience as it now leaves more particles on the seats than it protects. The last time we took it off our entire back seat was covered in car cover stains and the seats looked dirtier than the top of the cover with all the dog hair. After all, it languished in our trunk for a while and now it just sits in a closet in our house. I doubt we'll put it back in the car. It would also be nice if each of the seats had a zipper so that part of the cover can be folded down completely if a guest is traveling on the back seat. The cover collects dog hair very quickly and I will not ask anyone to sit on it. With the current design you have to take it off completely if you want someone to be able to sit in the back seat next to the dog, defeating the purpose of using a cover.
