Recommend the best fitness technology

I bought this product to monitor my heart rate during strength training. A few months ago I started tracking the calories I was eating each day and I wanted to get a better idea of how many calories I was burning each day. I bought this HRM and paired it with the Wahoo Fitness app to get an idea of how many calories I'm burning while working out at the gym. I used this product 99% for this purpose. I've also used it on two occasions to monitor my heart rate while walking or mowing grass. This will NOT give you a very accurate reading when lifting weights. But it's pretty damn accurate for cardio, mowing, resting heart rate, etc. The reason I say it's bad during a lift is because I manually calculate my BPM over 10 seconds and compare it to what the device reads. Sometimes the device says I'm 70 when I've just counted 25 beats in 10 seconds. There are also rare occasions when my monitor tells me that I drop my heart rate from 140 to 50 almost immediately. After about a minute it bounces back to the 140 range. I think the reason for this is that my forearm is moving in the rise time. I suspect it does something to the censorship that just freaks them out. If you are buying this to use while running/jogging/walking/aerobics/etc. to use, then I would say buy it without hesitation. If you plan on lifting weights while wearing this, be aware that there will be times when you'll get weird readings. Ovarall: Would buy again, just wish it was more accurate when climbing. However, compared to other options, this is one of the best HRMs you can get in this price range in my opinion. Pros: 1) Very easy to use compared to a chest strap. 2) will not slip under any circumstances. I know other reviewers say otherwise. But if he doesn't move for me, I can't imagine him moving for anyone else. 3) Convenient to carry, you can forget it's there. 4) An LED on the front gives you a color reading of your heart rate zone. You can see where you are very quickly. 5) Super accurate if you use it for cardio or general activity. 6) The battery life suits me. I work 6-7 hours a week and only charge it at the end of the week. I've never had any problems with the battery. Cons: 1) Unreliable to wear while climbing. The numbers appear to rise and fall at odd times, and the heart rate is often inaccurate compared to the count. 2) There is no way to determine the battery percentage. You just have to keep track of how long you use it.
