The reason this comb is the best is because every other tooth of the comb curves outward in one direction while the other alternate teeth curve outward in the other direction. They meet at the ends. When the comb is applied to your hair, the teeth meet your hair while they are all aligned in a straight, flat row. As you begin to move the comb, the hair will begin to separate as the comb's teeth gently curve outward. I can ask some questions if you haven't seen this before. It does not pull, damage or aggravate knots. It separates the knot cleanly and even if you don't have knots you can still use it. I like it so much that every time I went to a new store I kept looking for a new one but I couldn't find it. I bought the same comb from Goody about 20 years ago, but I don't think they've ever advertised it well enough for people to try it. Now that I have TWO of these amazing combs, my daughter can take one to her new home. My favorite ways to use this comb style: • I used my first one on the huge buns at the back of my daughter's head • Now I use mine when I color my own hair to make sure the color bleeds throughout. • For dry, damaged and frizzy hair, it can be used in the shower. When you apply the conditioner, use a comb to make sure it's fully distributed. My hair was fine baby straight hair, but after I started coloring it curly hair got really hard to comb until I started using this brush again to help with the conditioner. • I also use it to remove loose hair from my hair. my head when I'm in the shower. To do this, use it after the conditioner, but before the conditioner is washed off. You will be amazed to see loose hair on a comb. You'll know they were free because you can't get them out of your head. They also don't clog drains. I use it like this every time I shower. My hair is easier to comb after towel drying and there are no more frizzy hairs on my shirt, coat hanging from my arms, food, etc. This is the BEST hairbrush I have ever had! : If your tangle is really big, start at the bottom and then work your way up, gradually releasing them.
