Review on Mustang Motorcycle Seats Tripper Backrest by Daniel Evans

Revainrating 2 out of 5

NOT COMFORTABLE FOR A LONG JOURNEY

Bought this seat for my 2012 Harley Softail Slim as there is no backrest for the HD seat and I have also heard that the Mustang seat is more comfortable than the stock seat is. When I got this I tried it was good for an hour ride, a week later I used it for a ride of about 5 hours, the feeling after 1 hour ride is very bad and the pain gets worse until I stop and I can't drive anymore. Compared to the HD seat, the stock seat is absolutely better, this Mustang seat is narrower and slightly taller than the stock seat, and I bought an Airhawk ($135) to make this seat comfortable for a long ride. Conclusion: Looks very nice, high-quality workmanship and true to style, unfortunately completely uncomfortable in terms of comfort, especially on long journeys. I don't recommend this seat for a long trip, the best part about it is just the back and seat style.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No performance
