I usually wear size 14 and ordered size 1x. Fits perfectly. It attaches easily but keeps its shape open. I wanted a lightweight jacket to wear over a summer dress and that's exactly what I was looking for. The jacket is made from a thin stretch material rather than the typical heavy denim. If you are looking for a denim jacket that will last for years then this is not the one for you. But I'm really happy with it
