This is a really nice bowl. It's heavier than any other shaving bowl I've seen, but it's easy to hold both on the sink and in your hand. I like it because it has a simple elegance because it's a natural stone. I usually put it in the sink and fill it with hot water, which I rinse off after shaving. It mixes great foam effortlessly and the grooves in the stone make it easy. It's roomy enough to hold plenty of foam for 2-3 passes and most importantly I'm sure it will outlive me because it's hard to imagine it breaking. I wash it off after use and it's really easy to keep looking good. A small cloth was provided to clean the stone. I wouldn't take it with me on the go because it's heavy and there are plenty of small or light shells for that.
