I bought these to avoid tripping over my dog on my way to the bathroom at night and strategically placed four of them. They work great for me. About the right amount of light. They have a photocell that turns off the light when it detects another light in the room. I believe this can cause flickering in certain near-dark environments. Sometimes I see one of them light up when I stand in the path of the light that held it back. They could probably improve the product by coming up with some fuzzy logic to smooth the switching and prevent jitter, but after a few days of use I found this wasn't a problem for me and I'm with it now completely satisfied with the work.
