Review on Logitech G915 TKL: Advanced Wireless, Low Profile Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Lightsync RGB - Tactile by Ta Wan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

Before that, there was a full-size gaming keyboard from Razer, but its keys are frankly tighter and have more travel, in games there was a noticeable tension on the fingers. Plus, the keys creak when pressed. The LG keyboard does not have these shortcomings - the key travel is very clear, soft and comfortable. Please note that there is no numeric pad (num pad). In some games (for example, in GTA), it is actively used to control air transport. I had to reassign the keys and get used to the new control.

Pros
  • - Very comfortable in terms of ergonomics, I personally liked everything. Compact, I have to keep two keyboards on the table - for a work laptop and for a home one, and I really like the compactness. But still, it is about 30% larger than Apple's keyboard with almost the same set of keys. - Aesthetic beauty and quality of materials - metal case, plastic quality - everything is very good. - Separately, I note the roller for adjusting the volume - this is a great solution, incredibly convenient. - Separate backlight level adjustment button. - A clear indication of the battery status (the keyboard starts flashing red all over, the indicator also shows). - In terms of operation and pressing - a comfortable key travel, fast response. The spacebar is pressed evenly, wherever the pressure goes. - Beautiful lighting, really cool.
Cons
  • Cons are subjective and not particularly critical, but they are (and I would like not to be): - The location of the 2022 layout (slightly to the left of the Latin at the same level) and its illumination - a frank . I understand, of course, that the diodes are so arranged. But it was possible to make the 2022 layout with paint, just as it was done on the number keys and on the keys with special characters. In general, I don’t look very often, it doesn’t soar for me, but I still lost the aesthetic appearance of the keyboard from this. - Clacking sound. As I understand it, this is a feature, because. the keyboard is called Clicky. I saw a couple more variations in foreign stores, I suspect that among them was a keyboard without this sound. Not very critical, you quickly get used to the sound, and others (I found out) do not seem to be very annoying. But all the same, any typing is directly audible. - On the one hand, the software seems to have everything - the ability to control colors, add effects, assign functions. But it is somehow wildly intricate, compared to Razer, where even a child figured out how to color the keyboard, not everything is obvious here. And yet, I did not find normal macros or scripts, for example, I really miss the function of sending the computer to sleep from some button. But this button is not there (on Razer it was among the Fn buttons), and there is no such command in the application. I tried to google commands, but I didn’t find anything other than hibernation. I do not want to install a third-party application for the sake of one button. In general, there is something to work on. - A separate "whistle" for the keyboard and mouse of the same series. I would like to free one USB port (for a laptop, this is critical). - The price is the most expensive keyboard I've ever had, and of course I would like it to be cheaper. But I think it's well worth the money. I don't regret the purchase at all.
