We are heading into the second year of usefulness for this swim shirt. It has kept my child comfortable and protected through occasional use in chlorinated pools, saltwater at the beach, freshwater ponds, and city water in our kiddie pool at home. Good quality with no noticeable decline (no fading, pilling, etc.). I think it accidentally went through the dryer once but otherwise has always been machine washed, hung to dry. The full zip makes it easy to put on and take off. I have the adult version and can attest that the fabric is breathable and cool, even on hot days in full sun. Most importantly - no complaints from my child, who often chooses the swim shirt over sunscreen on the areas it covers. I sized up one size to 5T and glad I did, as I expect my child to outgrow this swim shirt well before it needs to be retired. No shame in handing this one down to younger cousins!
