We bought a new hot tub and have had trouble keeping the water clean and chlorinated. This was unusual as we had a previous hot tub for many years that did not require as much chemical maintenance and the water rarely became cloudy. Frustrated and after about 5 water changes in 6 months, I came across a pool operator blog that recommended treating your tub with Ahh-Some between water changes to flush biofilm from the tub's circulation lines. Bought a container and treated our bathtub. After the first treatment, a lot of horrible green mucus came out of the circulation lines covering the walls of the bath. I treated the tub 2 more times before the feeling of slimness completely disappeared. Since then the water has become crystal clear and we have gone back to our normal chemistry routine to maintain the water balance. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and we have been using it between every water change ever since.
