A nurse friend of mine gave me some of these after draining a cyst. They are almost magical! I tried two types of tape for regular bandages and both irritated my skin. I was about to go back to work driving a mail truck in very hot weather when she gave this to me. They don't irritate my skin at all. They last all day despite the heat, sweat and a lot of tossing and moving. They come off instantly with no discomfort! Although the bandage looks like the pad is covered in glue, it doesn't stick to the wound. I take it off to shower (although you can shower in it too) and then put it back on and it sticks just as well as it did before I took it off. You can stay for several days without even taking off. They keep the wound moist, which is good for healing. I hope this will help reduce the scars. Please note that the low ratings appear to be on these sizes. This particular one is perfect for the 1/2" hole in my back, but take the size up if you have something larger or if it's very tiring. They were actually the 3 inches my friend gave me and they are a lot more substantial than this. Also note that they have an expiration date. I don't know how important it is. The box I received is about halfway through its expiration date and has a year or so left. So there is probably nothing to buy. I'm glad I found her. They are also perfect for a child because they are really quiet.
