overall very good. High density bristles. The cover doesn't fit snugly onto the brush until you place it on the last 2mm of the body. A simple and well-made device. Yes, the case is made entirely of plastic. (bought because I lost my metal-bodied brush) Reason for 4 stars: When extending the brush from the fully retracted position, the action is almost always "ragged" at first. Fairly smooth as the bristles continue to stretch. Contradictorily, it may also be "jagged" near the point of maximum elongation. Given the other styles/designs available, if I were to buy another brush I would buy this particular brush again. I should actually buy another one in case I lose it.
