As many people know, HDCP protection disables the inclusion of anything that uses its protection with a digital signal like HDMI. The PlayStation 3 is a bit notorious for having HDCP protection that extends to everything, not just one specific application. This means that capturing gameplay from a video game is not possible unless (a) analog signals such as composite and component are used, (b) an HDMI 1.4b splitter is used, or (c) the HDCP protection the PS3 is removed by hacking debugging. I mention this because this device is advertised as compatible with PS3. While it's technically correct (it displays well), I think I should mention that it can't compete with this device, lest those who don't know buy it for the wrong reasons, hence the star deducted. want to update the "Customer Service Card" in the field to describe it correctly. At least it has a nice design.
