Review on πŸ’ͺ Muk Haircare Super Strong Hold Mud, 3.4 Oz by Heather Warren

Revainrating 5 out of 5

best even best in body mud

I'd say I'm a challenge. I have fine, thin Asian hair that is about 4 inches long and I need it to be brushed up a bit. I tried cheap finished products Old Spice, Garnier, Loreal, Suave, Axe. None of them were good enough. Then I tried more expensive brands like Pete and Pedro and Black Ship. I bet this is a common theme for a lot of guys. None of these are a complete set of strong hold, matte finish, low odor, and washability. But this amazing Mook in a Red Tin is just the ticket. Actually, this goes beyond a strong fix. At 100 degrees summer humidity, it loses its crunch but still holds up very well. It recently started raining and all I had to do was run my fingers through my hair and it held up well after drying. Everything around it is nice - just install it and leave it alone all day. As others have said, it's a citrus smell, but it's not strong and dissipates after maybe 90 minutes. Easy to wash. Looks dry. Some other reviews mention white bars but I can only assume there are too many of them. I only use half a cubic centimeter. The only small issue is how difficult it is to spread/emulsify. I find that moist but not wet hands make it easier to spread and apply evenly. I've been using it for 3 months now and about a third is left. It can be a little pricey, but at the end of the day, it's only pennies a day.

Pros
  • scrubs and body care
Cons
  • almost everything is fine
