I'm giving 4 stars because while it's a great product I can't really consider it a *laptop* stand. I use it for music devices. So for me it was kind of a set and forget thing, as opposed to the constant folding and unfolding that relies on the weight of my palms. So I don't want to mislead those who are looking for a good laptop stand. This is a great product! Limited movement from my experience with it and it's holding a pretty decent weight (constant minimum 10lbs) since I bought it 2 months ago.
