fixed the key stuck in ignition issue for me. The previous gear knob was removed by simply putting the car in neutral and pulling the gear knob up (pull up fairly hard). It was possible to replace the original switch with this exact matching OEM product. You will need to use a screwdriver to pry up the 2 tabs inside the plastic ring of the original shift knob to remove the leather boot from the previous knob before fitting the boot onto the new shift knob. Simply insert a screwdriver, press down on the two tabs and lift up so you can dislodge the case, then seat the new case on the new handle as best you can. With the new handle, the key no longer gets stuck in the ignition lock.
