I really want this light though.

After trying several different tabletop lighting systems, mainly for video streaming (including Litra, Lumecube, Neewer, etc.), I bought this Aputure light. There's a lot to like - very bright, easily adjustable brightness and color, controls and display are easy to use and read, back magnets are nice to the touch. But after a few weeks of use I noticed serious problems, which seem to be related to the overheating of the battery and the device in general. Even when fully charged, the device gets very hot and stops working. Then it doesn't work when I connect it via USB-C. Eventually it works after some charging, but quickly goes out again. Sometimes I get it working when plugged into a power source, but the brightness only hits 60% in this case (I know for sure it was 100% when I first plugged it in). Interestingly, I recommended this light to a friend who was having similar issues. Initially I didn't have these issues so we ran some tests side by side and sure enough his device had all the issues described above. Now i have the same problems. good product concept, but it seems poorly implemented, at least for now. Will probably fall back on a Lume or Neewer light bar. it will work when connected to a power source, but the brightness only reaches 60% in this case (I know for sure that it put out 100% the first time it was connected). Interestingly, I recommended this light to a friend who was having similar issues out of the box. Good product concept, but it seems poorly implemented, at least for the moment. Will probably fall back on a Lume or Neewer light bar. Initially it didn't have these issues so we ran some tests side by side and in fact its device had all the issues I described above. Now i have the same problems. good product concept, but it seems poorly implemented, at least for now. Will probably fall back on a Lume or Neewer light bar. Initially there were no such problems, so we ran several tests in parallel, and of course his device had all the problems I described above. Now i have the same problems. Good product concept, but it seems poorly executed, at least for the moment. Will probably fall back on a Lume or Neewer light bar.
