First time I haven't used the kit so can't comment on that. But I used the case I received. It's strong, durable and protects your phone. Now the bad parts. The case is so tight that it peeled off the protective film from the display. He tugged just enough to blister three corners. You are on the verge of complete withdrawal. And just today, just two months later, the magnet came loose from the back (associated photo). I would put it in my car kit to use every day but sadly not enough. The ring on the back is still there but it feels loose as I have to be careful to support the phone or it will tip over.
